Yesterday August 28, 2013. We had a reason to celebrate our Hobby. LANTERNLIGHTING. Andreas came from Dresden to visit me. Gerd from Frankfurt visited me, too. We fettled at some lamps. Andreas got a SUNLIGHT, Made in Belgium. I got 2 Continentals, in foundcondition. After a Little work, the lanterns run like in former times. We drunk some beer, some Schnaps , and everything was ok. Then I started some lamps from Sweden. After 5 hours we stopped the lighting, the reason was, we had no more Schnaps. Today I need an office day.
Don't know - on someone's chest? It would be nice to put names to faces - I don't know any of these people. Never heard of Gerd and Andreas...
Andreas who? Gerd who? Karli who? Still, I suppose we've seen your faces this time so that's progress over the pixelated stuff we've had before... 8)
Grerat pics and a nice meeting, as it seems. Karli, I like those Radius "stove lamps" you have in front of you. Also the other rare Swedes are impressive. I'm getting quite envious here... But what are those lanterns with the odd position of the manometers straight out from the collar (Best seen in the last pictures)? Are they the "Continentals"?
@ Christer Yes the 2lamps are Continental lamps, built in Frankfurt\ Main. @Andreas Simon Wandinger Sold the Tilley T - shirts before two years at the Petromax forumsmeeting in Sassenberg
Good photo's,,I like the quote you stopped lighting the lamps because you ran out of schnaps, Its allways entertaining lighting lamps when there are more than two flammable liquids in use at one time...
