Hi This is my latest puchase,2 very nice unusede Optimus 1350 lamps, one complete with original box, both with original instruction, funnel and repair/sparepart kit It may be that I´m looking in the wrong places, but I can´t find much info about the Optimus 1350 model on CPL, so I havde a few questions 8) When were they made, the top of the box says .0683, does that mean june 1983 ? What does the arabic like signs mean ? At the front Picture on the box, it says Optimus 1350 G, what does the G mean. Regards Niels Chr.
Uupps Just noticed that is actually says 1550 G on the box, so the box may be for an other lamp - sorry Niels Chr.
This is a little embarrassing, but my 2 new lamps are in fact Optimus 1550 models But anyway, the questions are the same Niels Chr.
Nice lamps Niels Christian. As for when they were made, I have two questions. Is there a rivet holding the red enamell top on and what does it say on the control wheel. If there is a rivet and the control wheel only has "Made in Sweden", then the 'date' on the box could be correct. I have seen this type of stamping on Optimus boxes before and it does seem to line up with a date. Not all boxes have it though. If you look at the Arabic on the box label, I have been told it just says "Optimus" then "Made in Sweden". The G stands for gauge, which means it has a pressure gauge fitted (the filler cap). The same also aplies for a 1350.
Hi Nils Thank you for your reply, it is just as you say, the red enamel top is fitted with a single rivet, and the controlwheel says Made in Sweden Regards Niels Chr.
