    I've noticed two different font styles used on model number labels attached to base of globe cages on most Hasag lanterns.

    The following style appears to have been used on older appliances;

    This following style appears on newer lanterns;

    About when was the first (older) style of label discontinued from use ?

    In my opinion these labels don't date hasag lanterns very much. Both were used during 1930's and early 1940's. They depend on the size of a lantern. Smaller like hasag 34, 42 etc. have first type. Second type was used in bigger ones like 51, 256 etc. The only dating label could be black and white painted one used in late war 351L lanterns.
