You have a nice lamp there Gunsoo, great work for getting it running. I have a similar Standard-Gillett Light Co.296 lamp with the same burner head. Grand lamps with a great light output!

    A splendid restoration, Gunsoo.

It is a very nice old AGM. There are so many interesting things about this lamp; the burner, the extra shut off valve (why is it there?), and the original pump valve, from what I understand, used a pump with a flexible hose at the end with a threaded fitting for the lamp valve.

How do you pre-heat your lamp; via the one large hole in the burner cover side or through the bottom of the shade? How much time do you pre-heat for lighting this lamp? What size and make mantle do you use? It really seems bright!

You inspire me to get off my duff and finish mine.
