This lantern is a copy of Ditmar model 506. Made in Szeged Hungary probably in the 1950s. I don't have a model number for this lamp. It is a curious beast because the globe cage, Hood and bail handle are all aluminium. The hood is a two piece which is located on two pegs in the cage top. The tank on this is badly stress cracked and I have lined it with POR-15 so it can be pressured and will work but I would not like to run it at full pressure or for very long. I guess it was rated at 300 cp and when I do run it the light is good and bright.

    Hi!

I'm from Hungary! Only the forum because I write in English. If you have any questions about the Szeged lamp then email me privately in Hungarian!
    Szia!
Én magyarországról vagyok! Csak a fórum miatt írok angolul. Ha kérdésed lenne a Szeged lámpával kapcsolatban akkor privátban írj nekem magyarul!
    Üdv
