Well it seems I have been yet another victim of the Phoenix Park scammers

This outfit trading from a business park in Heston, Middlesex bought 2 Vap tubes on a buy it now and for some reason the name didn't click and I sent them off, but did use a signed for service.

Now several weeks later I have had a case opened for an unreceived item. Putting the name of the buyer into Google found numerous bad reports on them and even linked to this site which is where I probably saw the name in the first place?

I cant find the receipt in the great pile of receipts from my big clearout of stuff that went on ebay over the last couple of months so I reckon I'm stuffed and will have to refund them whilst they have items I sent?

It only £20 but it seems these people get away with it time and again from reading peoples feedback of them and ebay will turn a blind eye to it as their business as buyers is more important than the sellers?

So this thread is yet another warning to not deal at all with these scammers.

    Steve

What service/shipper did you send it on? If it was signed for then you should be able to get a copy of the signature from the shipper. See this topic on CCS - Link

As you said Steve, Ebay are fully aware of these people, but they generate too much revenue for Ebay to act. Your only protection is to list all dodgy buyers in your 'blocked bidders' list. This is mine that I've added to over time:

    affresco4120, applead64, auctionkg11, bestbuykg2, bestbuykg3, cargo2cph, getsshop, greenteapass, hantohan11, jenia4834249, kglpass10, kglpass11, kglpass12, kglpass13, kglpass14, kglpass15, kglpass16, kglpass2, kglpass3, kglpass4, kglpass5, kglpass6, kglpass7, kglpass8, kglpass9, ping5524, uklogitech11, 113134271@deleted

Tell us their E-Bay name Steve, so that we can all update our "banned Sellers" list. This happens far too often on E-Bay. I keep all postage and shipping receipts until I see feedback has been left or 6 months has passed. Sorry for your misfortune mate.

    Steve.

Yes, I know this lot too and they are on my banned bidders list, which gets longer and longer! Unfortunately bidders like these are always one step ahead of us.

I not up with the Laws in the UK, so to get some action, why not start a Facebook site and get a list of people that have been "Ripped Off" by these people, with e-Bays "lack of action", find a No Win No Fee Law firm and start a class action against e-Bay?

I've never had a problem with this company, they state to send the tracking information or inform them when it's dispatched and put their number on the box too,you just keep the receipts like you would normally, you're just shooting yourself in the foot with lower prices if you ban them.

I have contacted ebay and let them know I feel I am in the process of being defrauded and that police action could end up being sought.
I asked them if there is any way to tell if the items get sent on through Geopass to the bidder?

I was careful not to outright say they are crooks!

I can't see this leading to any action in my favor but who knows?

I sent out over 150 parcels of all sizes over the last couple of months and the only one to go 'missing' was with KGLPASS8!!

Will update if anything happens but it has been 5 days since contacting ebay and no reply yet.

    Sorry, I don't get it.
When you have a "sign for" service the whole idea of this is that there is confirmation/proof/signature that your parcel is delivered.

Never tried it but a shipping agent then should be able to show evidence that the parcel is delivered.

So how can people say that they didn't get it ?
Or do I miss something here ?

Good news, after contacting ebay and ignoring the open case against me I have checked the resolution centre and the case has been closed and no funds have been taken from my account and refunded to them:D/

I sent a very strong email to ebay stating legal action will be taken due to an apparent fraud being perpetrated against me.

I do not know what has transpired behind the scenes but I'm satisfied over the outcome.

    KGLPASS8 is still trading.

The first bit is definitely good news, Steve - well done!

It's sad, though, that eBay seem to be putting their profits first - bah!

Cheers David, yes I think someone didn't think the £19.94 was worth the potential dispute?

Pleased for you Steve. You seem to have taken the same course of action I did with another lot. Husband (ex-policeman) took the phone from me, told eBay much the same, colluding with fraudsters etc. Case was closed and I didn't lose any money.

    Hi folks

I have just sold a lamp on ebay and for one reason or another I wasn;t entirely convimced by the buyers details. I therfore put his ID into google and it led me here and his name does appear in this thread as someone to be aware of.

Fortunately I haven't sent the item yet as the buyer has not yet paid.

Does anyone know if I can cancel the transaction prior to the buyer paying or do I have to go through with the deal and cross my fingers all will be ok?

    Many thanks
