Had some fun doing this with the wife on the Saturday before christmas

Earlier in the year I also picked up this Coleman 242K, found to be missing the pre-heat cup. I will work on that one later. Date stamped 9 35

The cap of the Coleman is away getting sandblasted, and hopefully re-enameled some time this year

A Suggestion for all. Check with your secondary school age children/grand-children/school teacher friend to see if they have jewellery enameling being taught at their school, and ask if they could re-enamel your parts for you. (for a suitable donation to the schools funds [of course])

I've started the fettle on the Kayen, no the wife doesn't help, but doesn't object either, she has a collection of over 500 polar bears, so.....

And I've only recently caught the lampitus virus.

Good finds! I'm almost finished another Kayen. Then I have a "pork pie" X246 like yours to get going.

I note your X246 is the original model with the short handle, and in good nick by the looks. Yell out if you need a hand with anything.

    Happy NewYear.

Try Coleman.com for the priming cup. They carried them several years ago. Also 242 series vents come up of US e-bay with some frequency. Nice finds.
