I just found this beautiful Baby Petromax lantern in a flea market, and but I would like to know when it was manufactured.
The other Babies is all marked "821 Baby Petromax" on the fount, but this one is without the 821. Probably manufactured in June 1933?
Thanks to all who help me

Nice little lantern. I like those 821's, too.

According to the cap with two screws, the locking of the pump knob and the plate on the collar I would assume that it's an earlier type. So June 1933 (as 6 and 3 are the scratched numbers on the bottom) sounds quite plausible to me. Is the inner and outer hood screwed together, or can you take them apart separately?

...ok, then it seems like the second revision of the hood construction. Still I guess that June 1933 could be correct, but let's wait for the expert's opinion...
Anyway, very nice find, especially with the unbroken glass. It should restore well if there are no stress cracks in the fount.

Early 1930s for sure. Scratched dates are not always reliable but in this case perhaps 1933 is correct. ::Neil::
