Hello all I was wondering if some of the Petromax hoods might fit on my Primus 1082? When I say hood, it is the wery top part of the lamp.
A Petromax top should fit as will an Optimus 300 top. They are one of the many Petromax style lanterns produced at the time.
I see that the Petromax 500HK/CP one looks identical. Guess one does not change this part so often or never at all?
It's not quite identical, but a lot closer than the other Swedish brands. The 1082 has a crimped (or swaged?) top hat like the Petromax as opposed to the others where it is held on with screws.
