My wife kicked me out of bed early so as i could attend a car boot sale on my doorstep to which i had been meaning to go for many years & always missed Arrived at 07.45 & had a good snout around as folks were still unpacking & found these 8) An unfired vapalux 320 still in the original box for a fiver 8) & an unfired Camping Gaz "Globetrotter" stove & pan set for £2.50 I'll have to get kicked out of bed more often Stu
Hi Arturo & all I was a bit peeved at splashing out £7.50 of my hard earned cash , but what is a chap to do under such arduous circumstances , as for the age of the lamp i would say seventies but if anyone has a better idea i'd be greatful of the info . Stu
Hi Chaps Yes too true i was lucky , couldn't believe it myself when i even tried for a pound off the asking price , but i ran back to the car before they changed their minds I'm not sure if it's been fired as it looks so clean check out these pic's.... Has anyone an idea of when this lamp might have been made Stu .
What a beauty stu, doesn't look as if it's been lit. Are there any marks on the the base like the dots which have been suggested as a possible dating method?
Hi Jeremy It's a bit far from you but Bradenham AFC football club is the venue on a Wednesday from 07.00 , Bradenham is right out in the sticks between Watton & East Dereham , & the turn off is at the "Threeways Garage" in Shipdham Needham Lake bootsale is much closer to you & on a Saturday morning starting early , if you check may also be on a Wednesday too Stu .
This has the older style hood with sharper edges so is probably a 1970s lantern. Not often you see one in such good condition. Great find. ::Neil::
I have too many lamps duplicated already so this one will go to a new home where it will be apreciated Stu
