Petromax Baby stress cracks on the tank.

    Some sort of tank sealant might be your best bet. If you do a search of the forum for POR 15 you will find several threads on the subject.

    Hi!

    Sorry to tell you, but as this tank already suffers from many cracks I wouldn't trust it any more. Pressure unfolds really high forces on the material. So discard it and try to find a spare one from another lantern, or use the whole thing as a "shelf queen".
    I've got a beautiful HASAG 42 here with exactly the same problem. Nice to look at though.

    Please remember: you have only one chance to fix the tank with some sealant from the inside. If this doesn't work it will be beyond repair anyway. And if you decide to solder it, it will either be visible or get a real hard piece of work with so many cracks.

    And if you decide to discard the tank, you can at least dismantle it completely to get out some spares, such as fittings and pump tube etc.
