Hail all CPL members. I recently traded for a Leacock model #100 wall lamp. It came to me sans a shade and I promptly bought an Aladdin, Melon green glass shade that fit the heavy duty, Coleman shade holder I already had. The shade costs me about $105 delivered on Ebay. The fount is gold painted steel and holds a whopping 2 quarts of kerosene allowing for quite a long burn. It is dual mantled and uses a Coleman R55 generator with the conventional brass pre-heater cup. You Brits have those nice Tilley wall/hospital lamps which I really like; however, I only rarely decide to pay the heavy duty shipping charges involved to import same. I believe my Leacock #100 is still being sold new for somewhere upwards of $200 or more with polished stainless steel founts which I personally find a bit too gaudy for my tastes. In short, I am ever so pleased with this latest addition. I have elected to mount it within arms reach of where I sit in the main day cabin of my boat until I am certain it performs well during its 'probationary period'. Thank you, Captain Mike De Long in Hampton, Virginia. 1397409115-CPL_adjusted_image.jpg

I imagine you would not have high ceiling's so a test period is wise, may I venture to suggest a smoke bell of the Tilley KL80 style would reduce risk and heat and staining to ceilings, mount on a rod screwed in top of burner.

Hail & good morning my time, Graham. Thank you for your comments. I actually sell 16 inch wide smoke bells that hang from the ceiling above a lantern. I sell them under the Ebay user ID goldmanschoice feel free to take a gander at the wares I am selling. I am frustrated selling to England or the Continent due to having to fill out the raft of paper work for US Customs. I no longer ship abroad. If someone has a stateside friend who will forward to them, I will ship to them. After the Leacock has proven its reliability, et cetera, I will most likely hang a smoke bell above it. I have a factory hanging rod for this piece; but, I would rather use a separate smoke bell. Captain Mike in Hampton, Virginia.
