    Hi,
yesterday I became the proud owner of a Continental Pionier 3615,
a charming little lamp, in nice condition, it already works.
There is no glas, I ask Fred Kuntz to make a mica globe.

Hail & good evening your time, Jan. My name is Captain Mike De Long. I live in the states and am fortunate to have Fred also in the states. He has made a few mica globes for me and his work is simply, first class. You will not be disappointed. Your lantern is quite interesting. The mica globe will surely enhance the look of it. Captain Mike aboard the trawler 'Covenant' in Hampton, Virginia 3,756 miles west of you if not more.

Yes, Fred's work is widely spread all over the world, and has been so for years.
I got one of his globes myself on a Lux lantern, and can vouch for the quality. First class job, and I am thinking about ordering a whole batch for a series of different lanterns.

I really like mica globes. It gives older lanterns a much more appealing look, and if they were equipped with one originally, that's of course the best way to go.

    hi Captain Mike,
Thank's for your reaction, en kind words, it's not the first time I asked Fred to make me some globes, and his globes are a fine piece of craftsmanship,
I just received a message of Fred that the globe is ready, so I'm looking forward to it,
    greetings from Holland,
    Jan
