Martin & Morehead Arc Lamp Cir. 1900. Later to become Acorn Brass, with tie in to Knight Light & soda fountain, Chicago. The petticoat shade and glass is vintage. I recreated the preheat cup, smoke bell, and air intake bell. The ad comes from the World Almanac 1901. This is a hanging lamp only.
Great looking lamp. I acquired one and using the information from here endeavoured to recreate the same. Needed to make the pre heater and globe supports. It fires up as can be seen. But the problem I have is finding an upright mantle which can be fitted properly. Can you shed any light (no pun intended!) on where the mantle may be obtained.
