Been using this in the greenhouse for years, my Father had it and he has been gone for 20 years. Saw one at Newark and the chap said it was faily rare.

    Anyone identify it?

    Thanks guys

How did you find that so fast?

Looks like the 241a is the closest fit?

I'll have a better look when I am not so tired and the beer goggles have worn off.

Will clean and get her back to a better condition now. Had this in the greenhouse for years and works fine, did not worry about the odd squirt from the hose and in the 20 years there it has not had a new mantle.

The model number is usually stamped on the collar...

Normally a 241A does not have a model number marked anywhere but they are quite distinctive. However a similar lantern with a green fount would normally be a 241G and that should be marked on the collar. ::Neil::

    Hi Neil,

My 241 has a model number on the collar. "241A use generator no. TK-66" it is staped.

The fount has not the (metallic) green from the 241G but it is more the green like this one:

Interesting and odd. Having had more time to look I was not quite correct earlier. There are two versions of 241A. One is marked as yours but the other has no markings on the collar. There is a green painted one as yours BUT it is listed as 241 not 241A. This is from a 1950 price list where both 241 and 241A are listed and the only difference is 241 Painted and 241A nickel plate. Maybe a year or so later they just sold two versions of the A. I will have to add this to the record as a later 241A. ::Neil::
