    Hi Simon

They work well for me. Good seller and smooth transaction.

If you just want a few mantles www.parafinalia.biz is worth a try at 3 for £1.00 +p&p.

    Regards, Jeremy

The bulk sellers says they're for Tilleys but shows them on W & B lanterns. That's not bad as it shows them to be useable on both. Recently I tried to fit a nos Veritas Tilley mantle on my Vapalux (I happen to have quite a few of these mantles) and ruined it (they are pre-tied and to small for the W&B lanterns). So, I fitted a NoKnownMake one that only says it is a double tie 250/350 CP (OK, in German! ) and it works fine. So, as long as they're not pre-tied they are fine I suppose .

    Best regards,

    Wim

if there a difference between gas mantles and ones for oil ? or is it the same as the oil boils to gas ?

    thanks again

Hi Simon, he is not very precise in his description, but I think these are for the small lanterns working on butane (like campingaz and the likes). They are very cheap though!

    Best regards,

    Wim

In this listing, you can have 4 of apparently the same mantles for £2.45 (as opposed to 12 for £5 including p+p). He says they're 9cm diameter which is pretty big - I'd guess for 500cp. Your average Tilley or BiaVap mantle must be, what, 7cm diameter in the packet?
