I've got the Tilley advertising sign that's in the Trading Post plus plenty of lamp & stove odds & ends. Maybe a No:12 & pans.
Also hoping to have some Tilley & Vapalux washer kits ready.

Anyone looking for owt I may have in the odds & sods bin?

I could do with a blowlamp, repairable burners for my no 5 or fettling advice, and a couple of spare legs (or steel rods to make the legs) a paraffin Tilley type lamp for my camping buddy in good working order sort of style.

A roarer burner for my valor 55.

1/2" rebar or rod 8'lenghs to make a hanging frame like flivvers for my Bialaddin.

...and the 'chilly' begins. ;)

I was going to bring some stuff but it's exactly the same as others are bringing, so I'll not bother - unless anyone wants a US military M2A stove (a.k.a. 'The Widowmaker') as seen at Newark last year. Lovely flame pattern...

Mick - I'll bring the J.M. & D. Hunter lantern if you'd like a look at it. Oh - and a Tyers furnace, I'd like you to have a look at... ;)

Quite possibly, but it would mean going to my store (miles away from here and Stanley), excavating it all and then probably putting the majority of it back next week. I'll pass on this occasion... :)

Yeah, I'll get a Chinook or C-130 to lift the whole container up to Annfield Plain, then I'll just open the doors and you can all have a good firtle around in there...

No problems David. I'm thinking about you future, when you do retire just think of all the hours I'll be putting in on your behalf fixing and polishing your stoves and stuff. That way you will live on for another generation due to the generosity you have shown to the poor of the parish. :D/ ;) ;)

Yeah, I'm seriously going to have to downsize both my lamp and stove collections - I've completely run out of space.

I actually managed to part with a stove last week and the world didn't stop turning. So a few more are lined up - mainly the big, heavy ones - and then the others will have to follow them out the door. It's taken me 8 years to get my house like it is; I can't face the thought of another 8 years getting it back to what normal people's houses are like. Even worse, if I do nothing it'll all still be there when I pop my clogs and it'll just get skipped. Sorry to be so cheerful, but there you have it...

So I'm going to keep my 'Birmingham brassies' and that's about it. Same with the lamps - I'll keep my British ones and the early Yank stuff. The rest can go...

Run out of space? The true collector just builds more space.

I am not worried about afterwards. My favourite daughter says there are maybe a dozen she wants to keep and she is one lady who knows how to squeeze a £ till it cries for help so there is no way they will see a skip 'cos she knows very well they will sell. ::Neil::

Hi Gary plus your family and that great big lovable hairy lump on legs !! Finn

Thanks for organising " Barter Town " near Stanley , in North East england .
And a chance for me to flog a few more lamps outside while inside the hall was a blaze of bowl fires and stoves.
    Regards mick

I wasn't there, Doron, but I think that was someone's display rather than items for sale.

If they were for sale, I'm glad I didn't go because I couldn't have resisted it so I'd be even more skint than I am already and even more clutter in the house!

My name is David and I'm a lampaholic... ](*,)
