    Hi Folks,

Has anyone had any dealings, successful or otherwise with a seller Derek Brinkley of Boston, Lincolnshire?

I was recently mis-sold a Tilley OL50 as an OL51 lamp. He would not come to an amicable resolution (I want to keep it and had recieved a quote to remanufacture the missing part), he has now stopped communicating

I am greatly saddened about the outcome of this otherwise friendly transaction and wondered if others had experienced similar? Feel free to PM me if you would rather not post.

    Alec.

:-k The name rings a bell - wasn't he one of the shill-bidding group exposed last year by a member over at CCS...

Is Derek Brinkley of Boston, Lincolnshire a Company or a privat person?
I normally get a adress from the person I send Money to. If I am cheated, only happend once [-X , then I send a open postcard where I write to him that I would appriciate if he sended the Money I transferred to him and he cheated me for, back. It worked after a few postcards and I got my Money back.

Saw that, and CFC has already been been noted here for dubious dealing.

If you looked at the Ol51 he was selling and did some homework you would have realized it was a OL50
There is plenty of information and photos on this site describing the differences etc .Buyer beware.

    See this [url=http://0flo.com/index.php?threads/6045 .

He was banned by Ebay for a short while for "Feedback Manipulation and Shill Bidding". Unfortunately it's hard to check on his activities as he now keeps all bidder and feedback IDs private.

Thought that was him and his cronies - family members IIRC...

Ray, your seller isn't Derek Kirkham, by any chance...

Not positive David, but his email is 'Paul B' which could indicate Paul Brinkley , and may well be one of the family :-k

    Cheers

He uses the Photo of James SDR on his "Visit"-Cards:

    http://0flo.com/index.php?posts/43960

That cant be legal for Commercial use unless James let him do it, James dont care or it is James himself.

Notice on that twitter thingy that Ray linked to the name "Lynzi2709" is mentioned numerous times and that also is one of the suspect ebay members from the last topic on shill bidding that Terry linked to further up.
