Help 246a

Hi

bought this lamp on ebay.
Am i right in assuming that the stamp "Made in the United Kingdom" means made in Ireland, 1961 or later? I´ll have a look at the base when it arrives.

Would this be the original fount colour? and does everything else look as if it´s original.
i.e. Valve

Hello Dave, you are correct and it all looks original to me, Jeff.

 

That model (X246A) was produced during 1962-64, but as you say, the date will be on the base...

Lamp arrived today. Stamp is Feb, 1963.
The lamp is shorter than my x246´s and the fount seems to be smaller.
