I think its an early-ish X246 Guardsman absent its brown, standard hood but with a X359 (sometime BR49) hood. The X359 hood must be missing it top cowl - which has been "fixed" by shoving a 449 hood over its remains. Whilst fun, for the purist it is probably only worth buying if the 449 hood is good order - which it may not be, seeing it is painted over.
Depending of what they ask for the lamp it should be worth to buy only for the glass if it is the deep one. Also there are a lot of spare parts for any X246 to use for future projects. Michael
I've 2 complete x246s and a couple of complete x246Bs. A font and a few bits & bobs of spares, so I think I'll pass this time!
