This is a 252, with the wavy HASAG and the logo without the HS. I believe it is a very early 252 as they later just wrote the HASAG on the tank with no other marks but the same on the tophood, like this one: http://0flo.com/index.php?posts/34762 Maybe somebody can give information about the timeline of the production, that would be swell. Ok thanks Karli. I thought all 252's were 500cp. The contolwheel looks origin but I didnt see that shape before. It was used in a urlaub-haus. Seller, a older woman took over the house from her father. The house crashed in the storm in 1999 and only the lamp survived She took it in, did nothing to it, and got tired of the look of it last year, where I bought it as a Sidekick. So I only know the story of it back to the late 60's Is it possible to date Hasag's from the style of writing on the tank? Claus C

Well this model is getting more and more funny. I just cleaned it up and got some surprises. I have never seen a pump ended being hold by a handdriven blind-nut - but it Works fine. The controlwheel is really neat made with a very small disk locking the Wheel to the traditionel shaft and neatly inserted in the control-wheel. There is grafitty in the bottom of the tank PJ or so - who-ever she was. The lampe was almost with no damage but one Little bulge the usual place under the controwheel. So it was taken care of and Works btw fine. I believe it is one of the oldest 252's existing - I dare you Enjoy. Claus C
