I have only 2 lamps at the moment, a Coleman double mantle and Bialaddin 300x. I bought a couple of cheap mantles for the Bialaddin to just get it up and running and I am confident the lamp is working well the mantle is not as bright as I think it could be. It's okay but a little disappointing. Can anyone recommend a good bright mantle please. The coleman is much brighter and not just because it has 2 burners. Each mantle is brighter than the yellowish Bialaddin.
    Thanks.

:-k What makes you think it's the mantle that's at fault?

There are so many things which can affect the quality of the light, for example, is there enough pressure in the tank, are the vapouriser and the burner in good order.

The lamp has been overhauled with all new washers etc. it pumps fine with load of pressure And no leaks. It is burning well. Okay I can't say 100% that the mantle is at fault but they were very cheap. I would like to try a 'recommended' mantle. Are some radioactive and suppose to burn brighter.

A proper Vapalux / Bialaddin mantle would be best.
