I am a bit doubtful if this is an original model or not. Might be a custom lamp converted from a ordinary lantern. All parts are original and the stem looks very good, almost like industrial manufactured. But the exstension rising tube inside it seems to be of a later date than the rest. Anyone that has heard of, or seen this before? Bo
Hi Bo, this lamp/lantern looks a bit odd to me. It looks like someone has simply added a piece to make it higher. As a table lamp, I would think a bigger (wider) fount would be advisable for stability reasons. Also, who needs the hanging/carrying loop on a table lamp? Anyhow, it is a rather unique, nice addition to your collection! All the best, Wim
I'd also have some doubts because any bending force on the stem is concentrated to a small area around the fitting, or even on the fitting itself. Therefore regular table lamps usually have a cone or something similar below the stem in order to distribute the forces to a wider area on top of the tank. BR, Martin
