    Hi mharron

You have the remnants of oa Tilley X246B with what appears to be a 169 7" vaporiser more commonly used on radiators, table and flood lamps. The code on the base is a date code signifying February 1968. No one seems to know what the two following letters stand for.

    Regards, Jeremy

    Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for that. I thought that was the model but then the code on the tank threw me as I have not seen one with it there before. I figured the generator was of something else just didn't know what. Guess I'll add it to the parts cupboard

    Cheers Mike

I'd say the two table lamps are the stars there.

Having said that the red Coleman is a nice lamp and your pork pie Tilley looks to be in excellent condition, especially the hood.

The 7" vapouriser could be used with your table lamp but personally I would put it away safely as a spare. You could test it on the table lamp first just so you know you aren't storing junk.

It's only my opinion but I think the table lamps look in better proportion with the 5" vapourisers...

ah I was wrong. The earlier small image fooled me and it looked taller so not a BR but a pretty standard X246B. I would not even bother to clean it but shove it in with the other spare pieces to be traded out or given away. I am not a big fan of the model. ::Neil::

You've got my favorite storm lantern in that lot: the pork pie Tilley X246. Nice find!
