X246B hood fit fettle

    I just put a 1976 X246B back in operation, and it was running rich with an off color and smell. I took it downstairs to check over and noticed that the hood had gotten hung up on the ends of the bale/handle. I pulled the handle sides out, dropped the hood into position, and VOILA, all is right. You may be familiar with this hood arrangement, but it's novel to us Yanks. I'm posting just for the search engine an any not familiar with the fit issue.

    Thanks Dean. I printed out the 1973 instructions posted by Gneiss and see that Tilley included that detail on the last page :)

    I had a rather odd situation with two lamps on one of which the hood wouldn't go past these tips. Swapping the hoods between two lamps they both fitted, yet I could see no apparent difference between the two hoods.
