I have just joined the forum and I've posted in the gallery section about a Tilley lamp that I rescued. I uploaded some photos into the post no problem, however, when I open up the galley page there is no thumbnail picture in the corner of my post. Can anyone advise me on how to get one in there please.
That's because your pictures isn't uploaded correctly to the site. When they are, you will see them as an attachment at the very bottom of the actual post in the form of a little green square with a white plus sign. You should also have a thumbnail shown to the left in the column called "Recent gallery posts" once everything is fine. They are somewhere, of course, since we can see them in the post. Just not where the system "expects them", so to speak... Mind you! This is not necessarily a mistake made by you during the uploading process. I've seen this happen when the site is having problems, and actually this was the case a while ago. It's indicated by a red banner across the top saying "Database error", or similar. That was the case just before I wrote this. If you would like, just post a totally new topic exactly like you did before and upload the pictures again. Just pretend that you never made this faulty one at all. I will remove it afterwards.
I did another test post and this time the thumbnail appeared. If you would delete both the original and test posts I'll re-post it. Thanks.
I'm glad it did! I also changed your title to show the year of manufacturing according to the date stamp of your lantern.
