hey folks... long time away, but thought i'd pop in to ask a question from the experts... was in a local thrift store and came home with a 220H... the thing that caught my eye was a bright aluminum bottom to the lantern... thinking, "that's not right, what the heck?" i took a closer look and didn't see the month/day code, and what looked like a 'false bottom' (but actually a flat aluminum plate w/a Coleman stamp, and with a 'cake pan'-type spring hinge)... anyhow, it came home with me for about a Hamilton... had the original Pyrex clear glass, a brochure stuffed in the glass, along with two packs of silk mantles... when i undid the 'cake pan' hinge, a 220 generator in its bag, along with 4 packs of double silk #21 mantles, and a small wrench dropped out! the lantern was a 12/73, and the wrench fit the generator nut perfectly... can anyone chime in on this Coleman accessory? i have never seen one before - it's really a great idea in my mind - why don't we see more of them? willie on the kero burnin' Gulf of Mexico
