Can anyone help me to identify this lamp and can give some information please ?
I know it's a Tilley, i have him for many years and yesterday suddenly saw him again.
It is worthwhile to get him back working again?
Or maybe would it be a nice trade object ?

    Tilley X246, 1950s.

Are there any markings or stamps on the tank?

A very good Tilley to own! You must get it working again.

    Cheers

    Tony

No, I can not find any markings on the tank.
Is that a good or bad sign ? :content:

    You are absolutely right, Tony
The washer kit has been ordered, and started with the cleaning of the parts.

Excellent. You have one of the older burners - which is good. Just make sure the pieces are tight (DO NOT overtighten, and be gentle with the dome).

You've got a good lantern there and there is plenty of info here on all its bits and pieces.

The tank could be seen at the bottom, was nickel-plated.
But there was nothing left, so its now polished brass. :-$
I only miss the carrying handle, there is now one it seems like made up of a car brake pipe.

There is also a pre-heater, but that wick material is missing.
Is there anything i can use to make this pre-heater usable again ?

You should not leave the tank as bare brass. It was "speculum" plated. You can look at the Gallery, but from that period speculum or gold would be appropriate. If that picture is your tank now, I would just clear coat it with automotive enamel.

I can give you the dimensions of the handle, but 3/16" or slightly smaller steel is close enough to make a new handle.

And any good 1" flat lamp wick can replace your messy wick.

    Cheers

    Tony

Take care with that old wick material I suspect it is asbestos and it is not good to inlhale dust or fine particles.
Replacement (non asbestos) pads have been advertised on E Bay.

Nice Guardsman Lamp and well worth the renovation.
If replacing the preheater wick use fibreglass not cotton wick. The cotton variety will continue to burn and smoulder after the alcohol has burnt out.
