    I've just acquired this lamp. I particularly like this lamp for the condition of the hood which looks to be excellent.

    Has the remnants of a W. Kopsen sticker on the base.

    Thanks all.

    It's nice to know there are still honourable people out there. (Present company excepted of course :))

    My wife went and picked the lamp up and the woman that sold it said she was beating people off with a stick. Others had offered her double her asking price even though they had been told it was sold.

    I've known people over the years that would have taken the better offer and said to blazes with honour.

    W.Kopsen :?: Is that a member of Kayen or did two Companies "copy" the Tilley :?:
    The lamp looks very nice Matty and must be pretty rare. It should clean up well and I would love to see this exotic beauty on fire.

    "Kayen" = K+N = Kopsen and Nettlfold.

    Kopsen was a company based in Sydney; Nettlefold in Melbourne, Australia.

    The both produced Tilley-copies, lamps and lanterns, under the Kayen brand name.
