Hi all, I picked up this heater/stove today for about GBP7.00. It is missing the radiator bell and burner caps but otherwise in very good nick. The date code is AU which translated to 1965. The fount is nickel plated brass and the reflector and heat shield are aluminium. There is no model number on the fount. I had not before encountered a single burner Primus stove with the regulated burner, other than on camp stoves. This one seems to have been painted with silver spray paint. I believe replacement regulated burners are quite pricey now. I have two 523 and two 535 Primus 2-burner table top stoves that use the same burners.

    Hi Phil

I presume you made a typo-error because 'AU' is 1955.

Here is an extract from a 1955 Primus catalogue.

Heater domes can still be purchased, like this one.

Those are pretty nice Phil, and I'm sure you'll get yours going.
But you should post it over at CCS. Stove based heaters rather belong there.
    Here's mine.

Christer, the link to your 155R nicely shows the heater dome and the fixings to attach it to the fixed leg stove.
The heater domes on sale currently are the ones that are designed to be suspended above the burner on a collapsible stove - but they can be adapted.

I agree with you that this thread would be better on CCS.

Thanks, Trevor and Christer, for the info. I stand corrected on the date. I looked it up in the shop on my phone and the writing was a bit small for my eyes... It is in surprisingly good shape for that age and appears hardly ever used and seldom handled. I did not realise there was such a fine distinction drawn here between lamp-based and stove-based pressure heaters but it does make perfect sense. I have a 1920s 110 as well and both need the dome so I shall have to invest in a few of them.

It might be a stove with a heater adapter and belong on CCS, but I still like it. :) It's one that is still on my wish list.

There have been a couple of ebay sellers with those domes. Both from the UK. I wonder if the UK made stoves had heater adapters as well or if it is old Primus stock?

Other Swedish manufacturers also made stoves with dome heater attachments, such as Optimus, Svea and Radius.

The British manufacturer, Monitor also made them.
