I have shot blasted the manky paint from my Bialaddin bowlfire fount, what is the recommended paint procedure and paint types for re-finishing them?

    They will get used!!!!

The recommended paint is Rover Arum White. You can get it from Halfords.

Edit: I would advise against shot blasting brass founts in future, it can weaken the fount and cause stress cracks.

See this thread about a shot blasted stove that split open and squirted paraffin across the garden:

Yep, definitely 'overkill' - I find Nitromors or similar to be quite sufficient...

I was only very gentle on the tank, and no brass removed during the process.

How about etch primer any recommendations?

I used acid etch primer on the bowl fire followed by Rover Arum White as recommended, all seals changed (Viton from Ross) now ready for use over the summer.

The 21C got a full set of seals and just a coat of clear lacquer, I will see how this lasts over the coming months, paint still visible on some parts of the fount demonstrates just how gentle a blast it got.
