It is a pressure donut lamp and it may be German but i'm not certain, are there any markings on it?

The pressure gauge may have some branding on it.

That's got to be a Hasag I reckon. Possibly a 5a? Nice lamp, difficult to find probably more difficult to find parts. ](*,)

Sadly the pressure gauge is about as sad a state as the rest of the lamp so I'm not sure there will be. I don't actually have it here yet.

There's a Coleman PQ lamp and an Aladdin blue flame heater in the same lot.

Thanks for the identifications so far everyone... I'll post some better pictures one I get it here.

So is it paraffin and what are my chances of finding a glass?

Glass isn't a problem, you can get new ones from Stuga, but you need the reflector to hold it in and you don't appear to have one with the lamp.

I didn't see a reflector, but I'm not sure exactly how much else is missing yet. It could be a long project...

Are there easier to come by parts that could be adapted to fit?

I'll get it looking as good as possible, but it would be so much better to get it running.

Yes, they do look nice done up, here's an Aida I did a while ago Link . Sadly I don't think mine will ever see a mantle again, but I am always hopeful. Failing that I'll find a complete one some day.

??? That would be my first thing to do before money changes hands.
Sadly these polars types have other parts then petromax style donut lamps.
So you can't mix them. If you need the burner parts etc. Leave it for parts and look for a better one.

It was part of a lot that included a rather sorry looking Coleman PQ and an Aladdin heater. I left a very small commision bid on it at an Auction and to be honest was suprised I won... The Aladdin heater will go straight on eBay after a quick clean and will probably pay for the lot ;)

As for this lamp I'll get it looking good even if it never runs.

If the gas generator, jet and burner are complete, I'd try to complete with any part that can fit, including a DIY fuel line: a rusty hunging lamp working is better than none, even if there is no glass, reflector, etc...
