    Hello,

few days ago, my friend gave me Gold Mohar lantern. It was never used. On the spare jet, there is number 350, so I think it is 350HK. There is no rapid preheater. Spirit can is damaged and rusted. I will check lantern and clean it in few days. Still I don't know how old it is.

I'd say there's a good chance that the batch number is a date.

Nice to see it all complete in the original box. Should go in the reference library.

    I know, thank you :-)

    Nils Stephenson:

I think that batch number is date too, at least 65 - year, but who knows.

What exactly would you like to put in reference library? I will make photos.

This is the biggest surprise I found today. Have you seen this design before?

    Not unregular.

Lot of old lamps have this kind of vaporizer.

Sorry I don't know the English word

What I mean is not vaporizer, but that the fuel comes from the centre of reservoir. I have seen a lot of Petromax "derivates", but always with "side" fuel outlet.

The valve assembly/vapouriser is quite like the earlier Optimus lamps as well as the older Petromax lamps. Probably a lot of others I don't know about as well. I'm guessing that this is an Indian copy of a Petromax 826.

If the batch number is the date, then it would be the 10th July 1965.

All the photos you have shown already would be good in the reference library. The more pictures the better. :)

It looks like the pressure gauge is not working and pump check valve too. But how to dismantle this pressure check valve?
