Hi there, I thought I should stop by say 'hello' from Switzerland and that I'm fairly new to lanterns (and stoves - I'm also over on CPS).

I found my first Coleman back in May, and joined the Coleman Collectors Forum to learn about it (I know some of you guys are on here too).

Since then over 20 lanterns and 5 stoves have somehow attached themselves to me; Colemans from USA & Canada, and a few nice UK Bialaddins, a Vapalux and Tilley.

I recently did a 'photoshoot' for most of them, you can see it Link (link to flickr).

    Cheers, Ian

Nicely cleaned up and not over-restored!

There's a UK seller on eBay called Juliands who has reasonably priced, reproduction, red-enamelled hood-tops for the burgundy Bialaddin 300X. One of those would also hide the worst of the distortion on the hood. Just a thought... 8)

    Thanks David,

That 300 actually has a nasty crack that is 'fixed' with Araldite and it only gets used outside, it's a little ugly but I wanted to try it anyway and then do my first fount respray. Hence it's probably destined as a parts lantern at some point, sadly...

I've had gaskets and some stove parts from Juliands shipped here. Was all good...
