In the month he has the mantle for sale, it will be interesting (amazing) to see if anyone buys it.

By the sound of it, he has put this one out at an expensive price to get people to buy his other mantles which are 'cheaper'. His cheap ones still sound expensive to me.

    Nils may be right.

Over pricing one to make the others look cheap. He has sold a more than a few of the"unbranded" ones.

Im with Nils on this one. Guessing his selling butterfly mantels or somthing to a more expensive price to make profit.

Sadly, too many Ebay shoppers don't know what they are buying and what fair-market value is. There are some fantastic values on Ebay, and some cruel ripoffs.

Ahem, after a polite message to enquire whether he had made an error in the pricing of said mantles:

"Hello. Probably I was just trying to attract attention to the unbranded ones I sell that are the same size and power etc. However, the listing for them seems to have disappeared and I can't relist until after midnight (when I get some more free listings!). You can have three of them (the unbranded, totally ungenuine ones) for £6 if you like - I'll send you the link once I've listed them. Them seem to be just as good. But, I'd better mention that lamps that use 164X size mantles seem to me to be pretty rare. They are 500CP and most Tilleys take a 300CP despite sometimes having a model name that suggests otherwise. So, are you sure this is the size you want?!!"

I have given him some polite constructive "corrections", let's see what happens....

    Alec.

This bloke looks a tad pricey too.

He has kindly reduced the price of his mantles. If you hurry, you can get two Coleman #20 delivered for about US$65.
