I'm a ridiculously big 335 fan. And when I saw this early 335p on eBay UK I had to have it. It's dated 11-70, anyone seen one that early before? Made 5 months after a lot of the red ones were made.

I believe these were made in Canada from about 1970 thru 1983. None were made in the USA. You have an early one there.

    That is correct :)

Before this the earliest nickel I had seen was a 71. (mine in Terry's site) :)

This one came with 2 339 generators so they nice!

What is the difference between the usual Nickel-&-Green-vent 1970's 339 and the 339p?

I have a few of the former and they are excellent runners. Just keep them away from the damp as the steel founts tend to rust through the nickel.

Well you've got the red 335, and then did the green, and then nickel (335p) for export.

339 is the kero version of the 335. I believe red ones have been found, but most were nickel.

I don't think they were ever called 339p, I think its always been 339. I've had a couple in the past I would love one again!

Okay, that clears it up. I misread/misunderstood. I have a green fount 335 and a few nickel fount 339's with the green vent.

You may wish to consider fitting a "sparky" to the 335. Very convenient for lighting and no need to hunt around for a lighter or match. And impresses the heck out of the uninitiated

:-s I'm sure if you offered them for free on the Trading Post you'd get a lot of takers, just for the novelty value if nothing else. I only recently got a few for use on white gas lanterns and thought they were rather nifty 8)

They make very decent blisters on your fingers if you forget them up and pull them down a few minutes later, though... :D
