Same unit I showed here( http://0flo.com/index.php?threads/8911 ) with lights that do not belong with this system. I am not convinced as to whether this is a carbide (Acetylene as advertised) or as I think a benzine Air O Gas. G.P
Anthony . Its the same make but another one like it slighty different had a good look . So there must be 2 off these around Bob
Bob, your eagle eye amazes me again. You are absolutely right. These things are getting too common all of a sudden.
No its the same unit I rang the seller as to the claim it was an acetylene unit and he said where he brought it.
Theres a laugh, its only about 30 kms up the road from me. Must be a good area for old lighting systems to survive
Considering you live in the middle of nowhere, I imagine lighting plants would have been popular there, 100 years ago.
Your probably right there Matty. Once your over the border into Nsw its station country and I would imagine most of the bigger grander station houses would have had one.
That's probably a hint to you that if you see some stations (Americans think ranch) having an auction it would be worth going along to to see if there are parts for your unit that you might need. Even globes etc may well be found.
