Hi chaps Can anyone tell me the difference between an Optimus 1550 and a 350 cp as they are both the same in physical size. Thanks.... Trevor
If you mean the Optimus 1550 and the Optimus 350, then they have the same physical size. But the 1550 has a booster and the 350 has only a spiritcup. The 1550 is a 500 cp and the 350 is a 350 cp. There is more - but I believe this is the main thing you search - I hope Claus C
If the label is missing from the collar, then the only way to tell is by looking at the jet. It is usually marked in some way to indicate size.

Yes that is right. This series of Optimus lamps came in four models. 350, 1350, 550 and 1550. The 350 and 1350 are 300/350cp lamps where the 1350 has a quick starter added. The 550 and 1550 are 500cp lamps where the 1550 is like the 1350 and has a quick starter. The only difference between the 350 and 550 and the 1350 and 1550 is the jet and cleaning needle size. There is another difference between the 350/550 and the 1350/1550 which is that the 350/550 have a tube added to the alcohol pre-heater dish. This is missing from the ones with the quick starter.
