Bello. I'm again thinking on a travel to England, or perhaps Great Britain un general. I hope some day I can do it.

I have some cuestiones and I'll add some others later. Perhaps you can give me advice on them.

    1. National Parks. Just one. Which one? I don't want to stay long, just to pass a couple of days and to do something else. E.g. I could see that in the North York Moors I cand go there, to walk, to visit nice places and also to travel by a steam train.
    2. Steam trains. Where is the best place?
    3. Narrow boats. The same question.

    Thank you!!!!

You are going to be very limited with just a couple of days as travelling time will be great. However:

Or there's Beamish in County Durham:

    Hello Juan !
    There are quite a few places to choose from, one or two have already been mentioned, but I would suggest for your 1st AND 2nd questions ;
The Snowdonia National Park, North Wales..
Mountains, Railways, Castles, Coastline..and not very far away Historic city of Chester with Canals..
    Shropshire Union Canals,
    Pontcysyllte Aqueduct
    (near Snowdonia)
Lots to see wherever you go, the Flying Scotsman is back on the rails..Is that at York??????
Good luck with the Planning !!!!!... :)

That's probably only 10 miles or so from here. So if you get up this far, Juan, let me know and I can take you around the area. Doubtless the other members living locally will be pleased to help also...

Thank you very much!! This is the kind of information I need.

Derek: a couple of day in just a place, not the complete travel.
David, thank you very much. If I go there, I'll let you know.
Willy: all of these suggestions match my priorities as I've never been in GB. In fact, I'm planning a 15 days journey, with some of these points already considered: London, Bath, Edinburgh. I guess that perhaps it is too much!
Today I'll study about all of these suggestions.
    Thank you again.
    Juan

In addition to the Black Country Living Museum (http://www.bclm.co.uk/) at Dudley, nearby at Tyslely there is also a steam centre:
    http://www.tyseleylocoworks.co.uk/tlw/

The BCLM has canal, trams, and trolleybuses, along with a full working Victorian village. I have never been to Tysleley though, so cannot say first hand what might be available.

    Hi Juan,
Yes, the Wells in Somerset, not the Wells-next -the- Sea in Norfolk..although the East Wells also has it's own charms including nearby steam trains and crabbing.. ;)
