Hi, not sure if its a pressure or burner lamp .but any help is wellcomed. Informations needed for college research.
Hi, You have the remains of a gas light of German make. Graetzin derives from Graetz who was a well known lampmaker in Germany. Similar lamps were available as streetlight where an automatic switch was operated by a short increase of the gas pressure inside the gas tubes. Unfortunately your images do not show too much of the lamp. Have a look over there: Erik Checked Wikipedia Commons: 1913 Greifswalder-Str [Public domain], by Axel.Mauruszat, from Wikimedia Commons

Dear Lamp doctor thank you very much for your respond,it was really helpfull to compare my lamp with one in a better and more full state. The only difference it seems to be than mine has five lights and yours four. I'd like to know if I could use your photos in my paper and if that so, what reference I could use since I dont know your name etc, under the photos. Thanks in advance.
John . I have 2 of these hoping to restore them soon just chasing up ceramic nose cones for the mantles . Both of mine are early but later had a pilot light added to them like the later ones, I have posted photos in topic #11382 in open forum . Bob .
