CJN Adams , a Mennonite company, produced the Work Horse Lantern in the 1990's for Amish and Mennonite religious communities without electrification. In recent months NOS WH's have been sold on ebay. Its a Petromax clone with a " flame arrestor" fuel shutoff valve and combination air/fuel gauge as additional features. Its well built and so far a good runner.

The flame arrestor is pretty cool. If you introduce fuel to the mantle too early in the preheat process you could get a flare up, we all know this. With the flame arrestor installed the flare up is redirected down the flame arrestor as soon as you shut off the fuel. It works kind of like a reverse chimney and it stops you from cooking your lanterns hood.
