    I tried cutting pyrex coffee pots to use on my Tilley lanterns but they both broke. How did you do it or was it done by someone else?

    G,,day . it came on a lantern .
    i have no idea how to do it ,
    and the few lab beakers i have purchased cost more than a globe .
    so i am not about to try .

    There was another post a while back where a lantern glass had been shortened. If I remember right it was done by a professional glass cutter with a diamond dust saw.

    Yes, it was Phaedrus that had a Coleman glass shortened.

    Was that from an auction on TradeMe in New Zealand a couple of weeks ago? Think it might have been a Vaporlux lantern. Just out of interest
