This tank turned up at Ashover. Can anyone identify what it is from?

Note that it only has one stud and no other mounting points, holes or studs, evident.

Dunno - but what's that mark on the base-rim directly underneath the threaded hole at the top?

Also, that pump-cap looks suspiciously like a bicycle pump adaptor Matty's asking about attached to a donut he has...

When it was shown to Mick it had been screwed into a modified (cut down) track lamp stand which had damaged the rim...

The pump appears to be made from steel and if so then it's a WW2., pump and the tank looks just like an R-1 tank with the rim hole soldered over, but it's difficult to be certain and the control cock is from the 1960's.

Probably a track lamp tank and likely AL8. They were held in with clamps on the base flange so no hole in the flange which you get with heaters but have a threaded fitting to take the reflector stay. Steel indicates WW2 vintage. ::Neil::

Would it be possible to post some pics here as well, only for those old-fashioned boys who don't own a smartphone and even don't have a facebook account?
    That would be greatly appreciated!
