We are just back from a trip to Wales and here is what I scored in a couple of places. A PL53 valve and top mounted on a Primus model 53 stove which I believe is a rareish stove. A Tilley IF542 heater in very nice complete condition. A Bialaddin 300. An Optimus 350 in great condition. A part Veritas 350, maybe good for a few parts and some kind of Radius stove thingy actually seems to be unfired and the box is pretty good too. Had a good few days. ::Neil::
Some nice finds there! I love Wales. Need to go back sometime soon. The 53 is a rare stove, plated steel so they didn't last long.
Not any where near your score was Neil very nice I got enough to keep me busy. Tilley stamp 246 - 870XA is that 1970 ? Vapalux model 300 something not sure . and a stove to keep them company
What a great find Neil what part of Wales did you visit ,as I'm a welshman I'm a bit upset lol good on you. Gozzy.
It's been about four years since I last went to Wales, it turned up some good lamps though. I'm sure I'll go again one day.
Mmmmm.... What's that unfired "Radius stove thingy"? All very interesting, Neil & Scotlamp. Cheers Tony
Llangollen but I do have a car and we did cover some miles. I spent a lot of time in North Wales in my youth. My mothers folks were farmers in Denbighshire and Flintshire and I still have reatives in the area so I figure I am entitled to make the occasional raid. The box is a Radius stove of some persuasion. Don't know the model and being mostly disinterested I am not hunting paper to find out. The brass mesh inside the generator is shiny bright so I assume little or no use. Only thing missing is the instructions. Wrench and pricker pack is there and the stove is complete with wind shield Etc. Wants a good home which ain't here. ::Neil::
Congratulations on a nice little haul! Whereabouts in Llangollen did you find this score if you don't mind me asking? I have family there so it may be time for another visit!
I wouldn't bother just yet, looks like Neil's cleared it out. I'd give the radius stove a home, not that I collect stoves you understand.
