First lamp ever lit.

I just found this picture on my computer. It was taken on the 17th October 2011, the first pressure lamp I ever bought and the first time I lit it. I had a mantle from my grandad because I didn't have any my self and I preheated it using some kithen paper wrapped around the bottom of the vapouriser and soaked in meths. I didn't know at that time what I was getting my self into.

 

....Ah! But the rest of us can't say that!!!

at 19 ?..

 

All went down hill from there didn't it mate

My first mother in law was a Valarie, she was quite "original"....
