    Next Thursday, 23rd June, Lidl have for sale their [strike]wire fruit baskets[/strike] famous replacement Bialaddin bowlfire guards:-

    They're the ones with the two rings at the sides. Of course, you will need to fabricate some small folded clips from thin alumin(i)um sheet to hold them on...

    They've gone up a pound but still excellent value. Check the welds where the bars are joined to the large rings. Last time they had them in stock I had to sort through to find six good ones. British Army mess tins are a good source of aluminium to make the clips.

    Some of their prices for the more expensive stuff has come down markedly. I paid £39.99 for an endoscope/inspection camera last week. I'm sure they were either £69.99 or £79.99 last year.

    The petrol strimmers have come down drastically as well. Unfortunately, I bought one last year (and haven't used it yet :doh: :cry: :-& )...
