I have a problem with one of my bowl fires it generates a lot of soot compared with my other two, I interchanged parts (not all) but this has not changed the outcome in any way still sooting up,please any suggestions as to the possible cause of the problem will be very welcome. Ged.
I reckon that the top aperture of the vapouriser has become enlarged. Which means that you will need a new vapouriser, Jeff.
Have replaced the vaporizer with one off a fire that is burning OK but I still get soot,I think I will have a go at changing the burner assembly, does that make any sense? Ged.
In that case, I would take the bowl fire apart and clean every part and remove the fuel from the tank. Then clean out the tank and put fresh paraffin in it. The fuel which you have in it at this time may be contaminated. Even if the fuel which you have in it just now is fresh, there may have been muck already in the tank which is causing the sooting problem, Jeff.
Jeff, Cleaned out the tank and put fresh fuel in,it seems too have worked, its now been running for about four hours and no soot, fingers crossed! many thanks! Ged
