I've just returned from a three week traverse of Australia camping in various beautiful parts of the continent. When I finish editing all my photos I'll post a series of them over at CCS. Here are a few pics of my faithful Tilley X246's that lit the nights while camping. Note that the mantles were used on my last camping trip and have survived regular use on a further journey of 8055 kilometres ((5005 miles in the old money). The old shearing shed at Koonalda on the Nullarbor plain: Camping in the Fitzgerald River National Park, WA: Cheers Tony
I've started to post photos over here at CCS http://classiccampstoves.com/threads/on-the-road-again.33468/ ... I may be some time... Cheers Tony
Stunning and beautiful photos Tony, I especially like the interesting shots of the shearing shed and the place built of railway sleepers ! but I would have found it hard to drive away from the old fuelling station with it's collection of old vehicles Thank you for sharing them with us :-) pb ps where did your ferry dock from Tas? It's almost 2,000 miles each way to Fitzgerald Rivers !
Thanks Tony, Yes I thought as much. Ok, so that is the same as me driving from here to Moscow and back? Hang on, I think i get it..this is a kind of walkabout isn't it?
Those shearing sheds makes me think of one of my favorite movies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2xOIhEX3w4
