This is quite a nice example of the Primus 1550, which came in it's original box. The lantern itself is identical to the Optimus 1550 lantern of the time, apart from the label on the collar, the full chrome top and Primus stamped in the tank. One thing that is interesting is there is still a faded stamp on the flap of the box, which corresponds to the six digit code that Primus started using in 1954. By manipulating the original picture file I was able to decipher the number to be 251369. From this I deduce that the box was stamped in the 13th week of 1969 which would indicate that the lantern is from this date as well.
