It's not for sale but any idea on value for insurance purposes. My mother is getting a flap on about insurance cover lol
Is this Dick's book some sort of help for people who want to identify different lamps? Perhaps a compilation of some kind? If so, I doubt that the original poster have it. It's hard to see why he should ask us for help then.
Just that it's a Tilly and looks rare. Some people even collectors have ner seen one or could identify it. So I came to the professionals
Who said my response was aimed at the original poster? If it had been then I would have quoted something he'd written previously...
Don't worry about insurance, nobody would nick something like this unless they had an idea of its value. The telly would go first.
Oh yes! a rare old beast of an AL12. Same basic lamp as AL11 but with a rotating disc front to change the colour of the light. These date from around 1937 ish or a tad earlier and are rare as hens teeth. I have never seen one in the flesh and only a picture of one other. Value? Who knows? Problem here is trying to guess what someone might pay. Rare for sure but that does not always translate to high value. Can't give you a number here but for insurance think in terms of a half decent Rolex and I know very well what I paid for one of those last year. ::Neil::
